Don't wish time away by saying you can't wait. It goes fast enough as it is.

Several things and no things have happened, but I need a damn update.

First,
REALLY looking forward to seeing the Princess and the Frog; have a temporary date with Brandi to see it.

Had Thanksgiving, and it was pretty cool. The most exciting part was knowing that afterwards it would be okay to watch Christmas movies and get into spirit! Called some various people for thanksgiving wishes, so belated happy thanksgiving everyone. Alex spent three days with us from Thanksgiving night, and it was a joy. She helped us the day after thanksgiving to put ornaments on the tree, watch home alone together, and eat pizza. She was utterly adorable. The day after she went out to breakfast with nana and me, and she ate her whole mickey mouse pancake! BIG GIRL! Lots of good things. Then we took her home Sunday.

We're all set to go to Frankenmuth next weekend, and I am more psyched than I can tell you. I hope it'll be just as wonderful as last year!!!

School is up in the air. One class is banging, the other I've really got to get my ass in gear! I'm trying to figure out some kind of reward system to myself. *Braces self* I can DO this! I will PASS this class, and do WELL!!!

Last point, I'd like to mention something about a double standard for a strange subject, but if you bear with me you'll understand. Porn. Before I continue, bear in mind that these are general statements, and I am fully aware that they don't apply to everyone.

See, some women are constantly writing to magazines asking if they should worry about how much porn their husbands/boyfriends watch. Then, there are some that won't date someone who watches porn. I think that is a very hypocritical and wrong thing to do. It is biologically true that men are more visual in thought than women, and women are more emotional in thought; typically. Now, how is it fair that a woman can read a romance novel but a man can't watch porn? It provides the same fix for either sex: arousal. Just because we aren't viewing a tape or a dvd, it doesn't mean that we aren't witnessing a sexual act. Let's say a woman reads a sex scene in a romance novel, and later she "catches" her man watching a scene in a porn flick with similar themes, or it might even be the same scene, just depicted visually instead of with the written word. Here is the double-standard: I have seen women outright cut off their partner from sex if they don't stop watching porn. That's the same as him cutting you off for reading your Nora Roberts, Lori Foster, Erin McCarthy, and many others! Now, my theory is that women have more of a problem with this because we merely "picture" in our heads what the men look like in the stories. For men, they actually "see" the women with 40-24-36 bodies. This in turn triggers a little bit of insecurity in the woman, therefore she feels the need to cut him off, because she's unconsciously afraid he'll run off with Jenna Jameson. But let's face it, when we picture the hero in romance novels, we picture our own versions of Adonis! So ladies, don't be intimidated, or angry, or self-conscious when a guy pops in a porn tape once in a while. It's no different than when you open a bottle of wine, kick off your shoes, and dig into a nice Johanna Lindsey.

Finally, the smell this time is my most recent experience: Thanksgiving dinner. OHHH the agony!!!

Family Holiday traditions are a treasure to me...and I'm so glad I have them.
